We recognise that our water cooler business has an effect on the local, regional & global environment. As a consequence of this, we are committed to continuously improving our own environmental performance & preventing pollution
Did you know?
- Transporting water produces more than 30million tonnes of CO2 every year!
- Nearly 3million tonnes of plastic are used annually for water bottles
- Only about 10% of plastic bottles are re-cycled; most go to landfill sites & can take over 400 years to degrade
- Compared with bottled water many experts think tap water is of a better quality, with a balanced mineral content & a lower risk of contamination
What are we doing about it?
- We minimise waste of all types wherever we can
- We recycle all office paper, waste paper, toner cartridges & packaging stuff
- Our vehicles will use bio-diesel wherever possible & for as long as we all agree it’s better environmentally than normal diesel
- We support the Save A Cup plastic cup-recycling scheme & so should you
- We use electronic communication whenever possible to save paper
- We plan to run on electricity from renewable sources provided by Ecotricity
- We are working towards the very tough ISO14001 environmental accreditation
- All offices & warehouses will be fitted with light sensors that ensure lights are used only when they are actually needed
- We have Hippo minimum flush devices in all our toilets
- 50% of money raised through recycling paper is passed onto a local young people's environmental group

We have teamed up with this brilliant Company & committed to a process whereby emissions from our business (including all our travel & transport) are offset by investing in projects that reduce levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. It’s seems amazing but our business is now carbon neutral. The same is true for our water coolers, even when installed in your premises!
